No longer a baby

Being the only baby in the house, Brendan used to be showered with tons of attention, buckets of love, millions of hugs, never-ending pampering and always, always at the centre of attration.

When mummy found out she was pregnant by accident, Brendan was only 11 months old. Mummy didn't know whether to cry or to smile, and didn't know if she could love another baby more than Brendan. As the pregnancy advances, Brendan grew bigger.

Brendan is no longer a baby and Mummy has come to love the new baby as much as Brendan, so much so that Brendan gets very jealous, till he screams for attention and smack his little sister on the head.

It's been a lovely (and challenging) motherhood journey, and there'll be a long way to go.

Brendan will always be a baby in mummy's heart...

at least he's older when you are pregnant again. i was pregnant with my son with my girl was 5 months old. The same feeling as you .. dunno to cry or laugh. More like crying la i think. But anywya, as the pregnancy progresses i learn to love the unplanned baby that was in me and i almost had a miscarriage when i was 12 weeks pregnant. Luckily he was ok. Initially my girl can't accept her new brother but as time progresses, we spent more time with her, tried to get her involve with the new baby. It was really tiring in the beginning especially after birth .. splitting time for both (can't imagine how parents with twins does it - salute). Now they are inseparable .. can't go anywhere without him. the key thing is be patient.

just looking at your lilypie and found out that my son, Darien shares the same birthday as Brendan - a year younger than him. Hehe what a coincidence. Now, I know 3 people that shares the same birthday with my son .. my friend, my friend's daughter and Brendan. :)
