self-feeding

As Eryn grows older, she likes to "show off" the things that she can independently manage on her own, like having her own meals.

She'll insists on holding her own spoon and eating on her own, sometimes messying herself and everywhere.

Yeah, Eryn is trying to be independant. Clever girl.

that's good. she can start feeding herself - easier for you except for the mess after that.

jazzmint, ya man. kids just wanna do everything on their own.

immomsdaughter, independant is one thing, proving to be independant is another thing :P

hmom, you should see the BIG mess she makes!

Smart baby! Maybe just put a disposable mat on the floor (or just papers), so when she is done, you just throw away the mat?

Wah, wah, wah! Eryn can eat on her own? *clap clap clap*

Des still needs to be fed else she won't finish her food ... sigh ... Any tips?

amanda, we tried doing that, but she takes the papers and tear them and throw them all over the house like confettis..

tracy, I've really got no tips for you at all. I think each individual child has their own style. Eryn is opposite from Brendan cos Brendan wanted to be spoon-fed all the time when he was smaller.

I think she's doing quite well for her age..

I never wanted to mess up the house.. that's why I never really encourage Zara to self feed.. Bad mumy.

chanel, I hope Eryn won't ask me to feed her when she's bigger!

babykhong, she's still very much dependant on me in million ways! :-)
